Affiliate Disclosure

We're a GetYourGuide affiliate

Private Vatican participates in the GetYourGuide affiliate program. When you book a tour after clicking a link on this site, we may earn a commission from GetYourGuide. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same whether or not you came from an affiliate link.

Why this doesn't change what gets recommended

Every tour on this site was chosen because it was genuinely worth recommending, not because of the commission rate. Tours that disappoint don't stay on the site regardless of what they'd earn.

Questions

What an affiliate link is

Private Vatican is free to read. It is paid for by commissions: when you press a booking button, go to a booking partner's website and complete a booking, the partner may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone to the partner directly. The commission does not make it more expensive for you.

How we choose and describe tours

We list the 19 tours by what they offer, such as the route, the duration, the size of the group and the price, and not by how much commission they pay. We try to say plainly what each tour is and who it suits. Where we cannot confirm a detail, we say so, and we send you to the booking page for the final information.

How the booking buttons work

A booking button sends you through an address of this website to the partner's booking page. On the way we note that a click happened, which lets the partner credit the booking to us. If a tour does not have its own booking link yet, the button takes you to a search for that tour on the partner's website or to our contact page, so you never land on an empty page.

Prices on this website

The tours with a confirmed price on this website run from EUR 62 to EUR 120. Some cards show a price marked with an approximate sign. That is an estimate worked out from similar tours here, not a quote, and the booking page shows the real price. We replace estimates with real prices as soon as we have them.

Our partners

Our main booking partner is GetYourGuide. We may add other partners over time, and this page will say so. Each partner has its own terms, privacy policy and cancellation rules, which apply once you are on its website.
